Nitty fold to be honest.
You likely still have the best hand.

It was raised pre, and you have two of the 9's, so the straight is beyond unlikely.
Plenty of hands like AK,AQ,AJ,Axd are still going to barrel.
I'd expect a bigger bet on the turn from sets wanting to charge a bad price for diamonds.

Yes, he could have a number of hands containing a 10 , but when you're faced with a 1/2 pot sized bet you only need to be ahead 25% of the time to make this call profitable.

You really shouldn't be so scared of 1 over. Unless villain has a super tight image or something. This is 1c2c though, and I haven't played these stakes in a very long time.

If this is a typical 2NL table on pokerstars you should just quit playing there..........

Best advice you will get right here.

+1 and I reckon it probably is at certain times. Only finding tables like this would immensely demoralise me. Either table select better or change site/times you play. You're just gonna be passing money around making PS rich.

May I ask why are you saying this? I found terribly difficult to beat 2nl at pokerstars, but after 150k hands I finally could and moved to nl5, where it seems weird more easy to have positive results. That is why I am curious about what you just said. Thanks

Because everybody at this table is a super-nit. Its hard to make money when nobody wants to put any of theirs in the middle.

About the hand, the 0.13 open raise by MP preflop is really steep... Like I wouldn't mind a fold pre here, but I think its okay to play too. As played, I think I would raise the flop to 0.60 if he calls then he probably has a high pocket pair and you can then give up. But he will probably fold almost anything else in his range and you can pick up a decent pot. But I might be wrong here and that might be overly aggressive. So id like to hear what someone else says about my suggestion.

Ah ok I see the point now, only one in the table is a VPIP: 20.34, then all nits. I agree, table select is a must.

Thanks guys. I guess I might have been too nitty. I guess I'm just traumatized from my fish days when I was too loose and pissed whole bunch of chips away, haha.

I'm not playing to make money right now. I'm playing to learn and get better. I guess me switching to more soft site/times of day I might make more. But what's the point? I rather have some harder time making money and have those nits keep me on my toes and learning faster than have high win rate. I do some table selection of course, it's just not something I'm too focused in. If fish leaves I might just stay at table and keep playing for example.

I don't know, maybe I have wrong backwards thinking...

Agree about the table selection. No reason why you should ever be playing on a table this bad at NL2 or anywhere at the micros for that matter.

I am flatting the turn here against this aggro reg. Re-evaluate on the river.

I personally 3bet and aim to get it in on that board. That's just my line.
