MP+1: $2.14
MP+2: $2.39
CO Hero: $2
BTN: $1.27
Pre-flop: ($0.03) Hero is CO and dealt
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $0.02, MP+1 folds, MP+2 calls $0.02, Hero raises to $0.08, BTN calls $0.08, SB calls $0.07, 2 folds, MP+2 calls $0.06
Flop: ($0.36) (5 players)
SB bets $0.17, MP+2 calls $0.17, Hero folds, BTN calls $0.17
Turn: ($0.87) (4 players)
SB bets $0.73 (All-in), MP+2 folds, BTN calls $0.73
River: ($2.33) (3 players)
Villain on the BTN is a fish with VPIP of 77 and PFR of 31. Villain in SB is kinda semi loose passive with VPIP of 25 and PFR of 0. Villain acting before me (MP+1) is a pretty passive calling station with VPIP of 36 and PFR of 2.
I was trying to open up my range a little with A8s, a hand I do not open up with often. I felt that even through A8s is not great, it is still beating the MP+1 and BTN's ranges since they cold call with random cards often.
The flop was decent but very connected. Looking back, I felt that it was unlikely for anyone to call a raise with 64 or 96 but the donk bet by the SB was a little worrying since I only had a backdoor flush to improve.
Had I called the turn and gained additional outs with the nut flush draw, the SB's large bet would also make me wonder if calling this bet would be right. Villain would have bet around 75% of the pot had I called and I would only have 14 outs to improve my hand, or 28% by the river. I know that the BTN calls with almost anything so I think my TP is good against him but not sure about SB. How would you guys have played this flop or turn?
