louis305 - Sitting Out

Pre-flop: ($0.03) Hero is UTG+1 and dealt :kd4: :ad4:
UTG raises to $0.06, Hero raises to $0.18, 6 folds, UTG calls $0.12

I only have 32 hands on the villain so I assume his raising range from EP is somewhere along the lines of middle-big PP, big Ax hands and the occasional KQ. Anyways I make a standard 3bet and he calls.

Flop: ($0.39) :as4: :2s4: :7s4: (2 players)
UTG bets $0.10, Hero raises to $0.36, UTG calls $0.26

I flop a TPTK on a flush draw board. He donks approximately 1/4 of the pot. I figure this donk shows typically shows weakness so I raise it 2/3-3/4 the pot. (I'm not sure if that's the right bet size in this situation).

Turn: ($1.11) :as4: :2s4: :7s4: :10c4: (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.86, UTG calls $0.86

He calls so I suspect he's drawing or has a TPGK so I just keep firing and he calls.

River: ($2.83) :as4: :2s4: :7s4: :10c4: :9d4: (2 players)
UTG bets $0.31 (All-in), Hero calls $0.31

He shoves his remaining stack and I call.

So what do you guys think of this hand? Did I play this correctly?

Thanks in advance,
Hyski

I might have played it a bit more cautiously, but it seems you probably would've wound up all in no matter what happened. Did you end up winning?

He had pocket 7's so I ended up loosing this pot. I seem to get in these situations fairly often.

Your bet on the turn was ok as was good way to get slowly get all of his chips in. I would rather Move all in on the turn though as you are committed anyway and this way you may be able to get some Spade draws to call more getting incorrect odds, win the pot now, perhaps convince him you have the flush.. (very unlikely he would fold his set though), or just get it over with as you have all of your chips in anyway.

Nice hand though. dont feel too bad paying off sets like this as most of the time you should have the best hand here.

Yeah, don't be afraid to make a bigger raise here 4x-5x his PFR is fine.

Hand was played fine I think, shoving turn his probably the way to go.
