SB: $2.45
Hero (BB): $3.25
UTG: $2.00
UTG+1: $1.00
MP1: $1.54
MP2: $0.92
CO: $2.87
BTN: $0.60

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with J  K :diamond:
UTG raises to $0.04, 6 folds, Hero calls $0.02

Flop: ($0.09) 7 :spade: K :club: 9 :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.04, Hero raises to $0.12, UTG calls $0.08

Turn: ($0.33) 5 :diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.32, UTG calls $0.32

River: ($0.97) A :diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.39, UTG raises to $0.90, Hero calls $0.51

UTG is 27 / 12 / 1 over 428 hands

1. Preflop he minraises, I call for some reason that escapes me right now... should have folded right?
2. Flop I get TP so decided to check raise his cbet. Correct?
3. What to do on the turn? He did call the flop check raise so should I slow down?
4. River - FD missed so I figured I should take another optimistic stab. Calling his raise was probably utter stupidity due to that Ace but I wanted to see what kind of hand he plays like that.
5. What would you put him on after he calls the turn?

Prf im not a huge fan of calling with KJ tbh. A 27/12 is going to have a strong range from UTG to raise because he clearly doesnt mind just limping and hand like KJ is does really bad against a strong UTG range.
That said its a min raise...

The c/r on the flop I dont like either. What exactly in his range that you beat is calling a c/r? You really think he has KT in his range here? I guess we could get spazes from TT-QQ but thats about it. And there are some draws in there, FD,retarded QJ,JT.

Turn is ok given how the previous streets whent.

River is where I really hate it. You say it your self, all the draws miss so why the hell are you betting when pretty much all we beat are those draws?
Let those draws bet or get a free showdown.
not sure if I would prefer c/c or c/f the river, I would def prefer c/c if the river was any card but the ace.
But yeah given the spot i would probably c/c but even if we are really prized in after you bet the river what possible hand do we beat?
A busted flush draw?

After he calls the flop and turn I figure his range is probably FD,KQ+,99+,77,A9s, and some really discounted gut shots. A range we dont do well against.

I dont really like any street here. probably just dump it prf unless I have some read/stats that say I can easily out play him post flop(eg he doesnt fold postflop ever, doesnt fold under pairs, calls down with 2nd pair ect).

That said this is 2nl so wouldnt surprise me if villain shows up with T8o or rivered u with A9

I'd fold pre. C/c the flop. Ditto to the Above.

Thank you for the replies, especially S93 for the nice writeup which really shows deficiencies in my current level of thinking. I really can't say WTF was I doing in this hand, tiredness is no excuse.

That being said, here is the really fun part:

He holds AA. I would never have guessed it.

meh calling pre is totally fine youre getting sick odds and only need to lose less than -100bb/100 when you call, seems easy as long as we dont go crazy when we hit tp, there is just no way calling for 1bb more can be losing here imo.
