Classic wa/wb situation. Whether or not you cbet is dependent on your/their image and such, but after that, you need to be checking behind and folding to aggression.

It's a 3bet pot, so what do you expect to accomplish with your turn bet? You're folding out everything you beat that can bluff you on the river and losing money to his ace.

I was hoping for a fold or raise

Why's that though? If he folds then that means he has something that a) you beat, b) is very unlikely to improve, and c) is possibly willing to turn into a bluff on the river.

If he raises then he can be a) bluffing you out with anything and taking your free turn bet, or b) taking your free turn bet. Either way you're just gifting him money.

We're not worried about straight and flush draws here, so at most he's drawing to 5 outs assuming he's got a 9 (or 2 outs if he has a pocket pair). Sometimes you just have to let people draw at those five outs so that you can squeeze out value from the bluffs/too-light value bets.

I was worried he hit the ace, its a low stakes table and he called my raise

Again, why bet? Just check behind. You're either way ahead or way behind. Building the pot or getting bluffed out does you absolutely no good.

I'm sure that you mean "for value". I want these hands coming along all day.

I correct myself, yea I did mean this, meant to say they would probably fold so the situation would not of occurred, but yes I agree we do want these hands calling.
