I keep getting into these spots. At 2NL limpers seem to be quick to go all-in and I'm not sure they always have the nuts. Would it be correct to call here?

Also, I overbet the very wet flop. Should I have bet less or maybe checked the turn? Thanks for your help.

If he was fishy and would call down just to hit a draw then I think the flop raise is fine, otherwise if he was a reg (doubt it due to fishy play) then I think pot size raise is adequate enough. Although I wouldn't of bet $0.64 on the turn as you can shove the river with a smaller bet of $0.40 on the turn and have him pot committed (without him even knowing it) and maybe be able to get away from the hand if he shoves on you. But from the play that happened you HAD to call the turn shove imo as you were pot commited, costs you $0.28 to call a $2+ pot, that's really good odds. So the only thing I would of done different was bet smaller on the turn and shove the river, and even If you get shoved on the turn I think if he's a really aggresive fish you have to call, but if he is a passive player who rather calls down then I would hate to have to fold but I might do it. It all depends on what his Vpip is as well as if it is REALLY high he might hold the 4 in his hand.

I wouldn't check the turn though either because he might be on a flush draw.

Thanks for your help Yoshimiii. Yes, I suspected the turn bet was too large. I didn't have stats on him but open limping and 62bb stack size marked him as a fish imo. When he started with the min betting I thought I'd just raise the flop and bet big to get him to fold or else make a mistake by calling. But looks like I was the one making a mistake! :(

the wetter the flop the more you bet, dont bet less of wet flops and give people a chance to hit them...i do about 75% of the pot....and about 50% if its a dry board...hes shoved on the turn because he was pot commited and was a shorty to start the hand with, he either hit a set, or was on a flush draw.....would have played it the same here

Ha ha! You've just inspired a great idea, Alfie. Everytime I get sucked out on now I'm going to do 10 press ups and 20 situps. I'll be superfit in no time! :D

You made a minor mistake in comparison to his mistake and in this case it wouldn't mattered, the money was going all in anyway cause he was a donkey. But it is good to see that you know that you made that mistake and correct it for future plays :) GL!

There is only 30c to call, you CAN NOT fold there ever.

Thanks Nathan! I've read your excellent book and been putting it into practice. Great to have your input.

Thanks KV. I did call. And was right to call as he only had middle pair - but he sucked out on the river...

Personally I find that the donk min bet is an attempt for the villains to conjecture up (some sort of sorcery on there behalf)...I really hate the donk min bet with a passion..

The reasons I hate it is cuz you really don't know how to react to it..

A) you start to ask yourself should I big on flop?
B) What is that bet size? Is it an attempt to get to a cheap show down? If so it is a really good sign (more than likely that villain is a fish).
C) Are they implying that they will call any bet size I make over there "STUPID" min bet?

If you answer'd yes to any of these question

Than don't hesitate at all and blast the "STUPID" min bet off the charts..

Just unlucky how you lost

On the turn personally once they call flop bet any bet you make commits them to shove over you and/or fold so I mean your not folding once they shove over you
