How good your odds are pre- isn't just a matter of looking at 0.16 to call with 0.57 already in the pot. Sure, 3.5:1 is attractive, but the important question is whether it's attractive enough given the other players, their likely ranges, the action so far, the effective stacks / implied odds, your position, how likely you are to get a flop that's good enough to continue, etc.
I don't know if I would have called because part of the decision is player-dependent. What I'm saying is just that if all you considered was the pot odds
