I know this is a lose call in the first place, but the raiser was pretty lose and I had position.

PartyGaming - $0.02 NL - Holdem - 7 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: $1.96
BB: $2.29
UTG: $0.95
UTG+1: $2.00
MP: $2.89
CO: $2.32
Hero (BTN): $2.00

SB posts SB $0.01, BB posts BB $0.02, CO posts DB $0.01

Pre Flop: ($0.04) Hero has A<font color='black'>♠</font> 9<font color='red'>♦</font>

UTG calls $0.02, UTG+1 raises to $0.10, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.10, SB calls $0.09, fold, fold

Flop: ($0.35, 3 players) K<font color='black'>♠</font> A<font color='red'>♥</font> 5<font color='black'>♣</font>
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $0.25, SB calls $0.25, fold

Turn: ($0.85, 2 players) J<font color='red'>♦</font>
SB bets $0.34, Hero calls $0.34

River: ($1.53, 2 players) 6<font color='black'>♣</font>
SB checks, Hero bets $0.73, SB raises to $1.27 and is all-in ?????????

He checked the turn and checked the river at first so is his raise a bluff??? Would you guys call this ever?

Don't just write off pre as 'loose play', it's v. bad imo. Horrible reverse implied odds, if you do hit and they don't you get little value. Just fold pre. Any issues post-flop are almost irrelevant given the play pre.

Fold pre is best advice.

As played though i would just x back the river or make a small bet and fold to a raise.

Quick tip. River raises are almost always a nutted hand until proven otherwise so fold a ton.

You don't have to go very far out of your way to create big pots against poor opponents. Sure, nudge them along when suitable opportunities arise, but the idea is to put them in uncertain territory, not yourself. Fold pre- and move on to the next hand.

As for calling the river, what range can you reasonably put him on, and how much of that do you beat?
