Hold'em No Limit - $0.01/$0.02 - 9 players

UTG: $0.80 (40 bb)
UTG+1: $2.29 (115 bb)
MP: $1.52 (76 bb)
MP+1: $2.73 (137 bb)
LP: $0.94 (47 bb)
CO: $2.00 (100 bb)
BU: $0.58 (29 bb) loose limper
SB: $1.86 (93 bb) VPIP/PFR (36/7.1)
BB (Hero): $5.31 (266 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with Q Q
6 players fold, BTN calls $0.02, SB calls $0.01, Hero raises to $0.09, BTN calls $0.07, SB calls $0.07

Flop: ($0.27) J T Q (3 players)
SB bets $0.20, Hero raises to $0.70, BU folds, SB raises to $1.77 (all-in), Hero calls $1.07

I knew I was behind when SB snap shoved on the flop but I had right odds to make a crying call.

How would you play this hand?

I don't see you did a lot of things wrong here. The only thing that beat you is AK K9 98. I expect he would have raised AK.
I have seen fish shoving here with all kinds of hands, any 2 pair, KQ, T9, Adxd.
Only if villain is a big station you could lay QQ down, but would be a tough fold.

Which hand converter do you use btw?

Does that mean Villain had AK? It sounds like you already shared with us that you were behind even though you didn't share the outcome.

Villain can be call/shoving with AK. (which is possible with PFR of 7.1 facing a raise)
Villain can be call/shoving with any diamond draw.
Villain can be call/shoving with any set.
Villain can be call/shoving with any two pair.
Villain can be call/shoving with an over pair.
Villain sometimes will be call/shoving with TPTK with those stats.

I would have called in your spot. If he has AK, then it was a cooler flop. If he doesn't, hopefully turn and river bricked out on him.

My thought was that Villain is more passive type so not likely leading and shoving with draw/two pairs. Also ruled out AK and TT+ as he would have raised or 3bet preflop. Also his instant shove from a passive type player indicates great strength so I put him on 89 and unluckily I was correct.

But I agreed some other player types could be shoving with anything less than a straight:)

Yeah I Also discounted AK but considered he would play it if he’s fishy the way he did.

It was playing good, when you have top set on flop and you face a shove there are always worse set possible and at 2nl always some really random junk in there, or something like 99.

I do the same here. So many draws available, so many combos we are beating here.

You hinted at the results, even though you didn't type it out. There's no way for you to get away, I stack off there too.

NH, I hope you sucked out if you were behind.

I don't think anyone is getting away from your hand. It could easily be a set over set situation, and if villain has the straight, you still have 36% equity in the hand. Well played. Luckily, villain isn't super deep.
