Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q:heart: Q:spade:

fold, UTG+1 calls 1 BB, fold, fold, BTN calls 1 BB, Hero raises to 5 BB, fold, UTG+1 calls 4 BB, fold

Flop: (12 BB, 2 players) 9:heart: 4:club: A:club:
Hero bets 6 BB, UTG+1 raises to 12 BB, fold

UTG+1 wins 23 BB

Was this a good fold? I can't imagine him doing this with less than an ace. Is it worth cbetting this?

Nice hand.

The other option is check/calling 1 street, but that kinda turns our hand face up.

I think you should raise more preflop being OOP. I think your postflop play is fine though.

I think you played the hand fine. Being OOP, we kinda can't really continue unless we bink a Q on turn. Seeing how that's very unlikely, fold. Although villains raise size is kinda suspicious. I would tend to think isn't that strong, and this is a raise for information.

I don't mind just folding and moving on. IP this would be considerably different.

Yup, raise more pre. Betting or check/calling flop is fine and I would probably mix it up depending on game flow.

Its an easy fold when you lead out like that. I would check the flop to him and call atleast 1 street of value. I dont like the bet cause he is calling a 5x raise preflop then the board comes out Ace rainbow. Hes never calling/raising a cbet without an Ace, but he could bet out with bluffs if you check to him or even with a smaller pair.
