$2 NLHE Full Ring: QQ facing Ace OTT
Played this hand today and gave me questions. I just feel uncertain about how I played it.
[converted_hand][hand_history]Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players
UTG+1: $0.80 (40 bb)
UTG+2: $1 (50 bb)
MP1: $2.23 (111.5 bb)
MP2: $2.51 (125.5 bb)
MP3: $2.04 (102 bb) HERO with QQ
CO: $2.90 (145 bb)
BTN: $1 (50 bb)
SB: $1.94 (97 bb)
BB: $1.99 (99.5 bb)
4 folds, MP3(=HERO with QQ) raises to $0.06, CO calls $0.06, 3 folds
Right, so I did not have any stats on this guy, it was like the second hand I played with him. He could have a wide variety of hands given position imo.
Flop: ($0.15) 4<font color='red'>♦</font> 4<font color='red'>♥</font> J<font color='red'>♥</font> (2 players)
MP3 bets $0.13, CO calls $0.13
I think this is pretty standard, I definitely want him to pay for any Jx or flush draw that comes along. Given the fact that he called I put him on Jx
Turn: ($0.41) A<font color='black'>♣</font> (2 players)
MP3 bets $0.30, CO raises to $0.60, MP3 folds
Right so the Ace hits. This is the part where I partially screw up. 1. Was my bet wrong? (Now I think about it, wouldn't he call only with Ax, so with only better hands?) 2. Facing aggression OTT is always dangerous is what I've learned from the forum. Correct fold here?
To make it more conceptual and general:
How do you deal with overcards on the board when holding high pocket pairs? What is the right approach?
