Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 23/15/33

Hi everyone!
I played this hand about a week ago and would really appreciate some input on how maybe you would have played it different.

UTG: $1.96
UTG+1: $1.86
MP1: $1.86
MP2: $0.78
CO: $2.00
BTN: $1.82
SB: $2.17
Hero (BB): $2.29

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with Ks Ac
5 folds, BTN raises to $0.04, SB calls $0.03, Hero raises to $0.18, BTN calls $0.14, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.40) 4c 6c Kd (2 players)
Hero bets $0.24, BTN calls $0.24

Turn: ($0.88) 8h (2 players)
Hero bets $0.44, BTN raises to $1.12, Hero calls $0.68

River: ($3.12) 7d (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.28 all in, Hero calls $0.28

Now on the one hand, I was very aware that I only had one pair and therefore didn't want a massive pot - at the same time I felt that I couldn't allow villain a free card and needed to price him out of drawing. Which concept would you feel takes precedence here?

Thanks for your time! :)

Villain showed down 74o. I screamed into a pillow and left the room before I could harm my computer.

As played, just get it in on the turn. Villain bets almost all his money for some stupid reason.

I haven't looked at spoiler, but I kinda feel like we are behind on turn though. Goofy 2p, open ender got there, or FDs, straight draws, combo hands. Kind of expect villain to show up with 2P or straight here though.

I'm off to check the spoiler now.
