$2 NLHE Full Ring: PP in SB: Should I be more aggressive.

Stats on the villian is over 440-some hands, most of which seems he's got the better of me.

I was set-mining preflop, probably not the best decision I made, but it was a min-raise.

Also, would anyone justify a 3-bet pre on the min raise? I only had about 25 hands on the original raiser, so I thought it best to procede with caution on him.

bet the river theres so many hands he float you with on the turn there. if he had a five i think he would raise the turn and if he has an ace i think he would have bet the flop so the nine is all we have to worry about.

why would you say this? I'm set mining with every small-mid pair preflop like almost everytime unless the raise is insanely huge or there's a 3bet ahead of me. As played I think you can either check/call river or just bet/fold. I think i'm leaning more towards check/calling, I could be wrong though

i like check calling til showdown.

Don't see the point of a 3 bet pre, I'm Calling most pocket pairs here like all the time to set mine, he doesn't seem very strong, but we have showdown value and I'm pretty certain its going check check here. I can see Aces in his range though. Checks the flop because he doesnt want to donk lead into the raiser and calls your turn bet because his Ace is weak?

You are not set mining if you're playing vs a weak range or someone who isnt likely to give you their stack. It turns more into playing it as a pair and taking it down unimproved some of the time.
