he isnt a typical nit, hes a fish because of his short stack albeit a nitty fish, it could mean anything but you should just shove flop when he does this, wp

Yeah, I noticed no auto rebuy but I rarely see that in nits so figured maybe as backup when he gets low he is doing some short stack strategy or something... I don't have enough experience to really decypher what it could mean.

Can you explain donk betting (2nd question)?

Donk betting can mean anything! every fish is different, some will only donk air, some will always donk top pairs, flush draws... depends on board texture too and sizing, i tend to raise donks a lot on dry boards because a lot of fish will just do it with nothing and fold or fold to a turn bet, they tend to donk with atleast some kind of part of the board or draw on wetter boards as a very general rule though, but yeh it varies from fish to fish

Thanks for the explanation.

He had a set (33) so I lost but even in worst scenario (set or made flush, I doubted he can have 2 pairs since he wouldn't call preflop with his stats) I figured I have around 35% chance to win, and I own overpairs so I figure it wasn't such a horrible call.

It is just last few days I am continuously losing these situations where I can't see any horribly stupid mistakes on my part :)

Additional question: What to do if I don't have nut FD here? In that case it is way ahead/way behind situation and I only have 2 outs if I am behind.
