Can I play this slower?
If over cards or non straight flush cards hit, I have to defend?

Not much you could have done here. In general, with such a strong draws, I suggest a smaller bet. It is hard to keep playing turn/river if opponent called or re-raised.
On such wet and draw heavy boards, I don't imagine people calling with anything less then over pair + FD or NFD, which will mostly have you beat unless you hit turn/river.

Regardless, when opponents don't have anything as strong, they won't call any bet so you can't and shouldn't check, just bet smaller

You can't force people to pay you off when you have a big hand, you just have to play normally and hope. I wouldn't slow play this as there is a lot that can suck out on you. Just bet and be grateful you won the pot imo.

Agree. If people fold 50% to C-bets its common sense, that we will not always get action, when we are strong. And this is not a hand to slowplay, since it can easily be drawn out on. If we flopped a straigth flush with JcTc, then we can consider to slowplay :)
