Like akaRobbo said,dont check the turn here,bet like 0.20.As you played with check turn than bet the river again

You should definitely get more value. You need to at least bet 2 streets on that type of board

Is it okay to check this turn versus certain opponents? Against really nitty or aggressive players, for instance. Or is TPTK too good not to bet?

Is it okay to check this turn versus certain opponents? Against really nitty or aggressive players, for instance. Or is TPTK too good not to bet?

Against a nitty opponent who open raise from UTG, I might check turn to control the pot and get to showdown as it's possible they might have AQ. However, now there is a straight draw + flush draw on board, draws are most likely going to continue here so you should bet to make them pay for their draw. Betting can also get worst Ax hands to continue and TPTK is quite often still good here.

Yeah, I see what you mean about charging the draws. I think I'm checking behind and giving up too much value in spots like this versus certain player types. Betting when there are draws and checking behind when there aren't might be a good way to balance my play versus them.
