Not sure how I should play this hand or if what I did was right.
6 players cash game,
Hero on the button delt Jd Jc

One fold, villain raises to $0.04, call by another
Hero reraises to $0.15, Blinds fold.
Villain with $1.36 left reraises to $1.40. Fold
What would you do?

Results (highlight to read)
Hero calls
Cards comes 8h 3d Ac 8s 6d
Villain turns over AdKd and takes down pot with 2 pair, Aces and 8s.

Fold!

JJ is not a preflop all in hand unless you have a read on the villain, you will be behind or coin-flipping 90% of the time.

It's going to be hard to get good feedback on the hands you're posting because you're not providing much information.

use a hand converter, list relevant stats for villain as well as reads and any history and notes on game flow. Don't post results.

I have probably never folded JJ/AK in a BTN vs. blinds situation, and especially not against a shortstack donk.

Pretty much that.

Pretty much - yep

You were right to reraise to 15 but it seems you failed to grasp the 2-fold purpose of that raise. 1) make the bet out of reach for hands like Ax or Kx that can draw out on you AND 2) see where you are at - in other words, if someone comes over the top of your reraise you should know you are in trouble and politely bow out.

Don't raise for information.

Not sure if you read this thread correctly but C9 and I said to snap this.

It's not a BTN vs. blinds situation would this effect your decision?

So MediaBlitz can't reply with his opinion because you've already given yours?

FTR i'd call because at 2NL I think this player is going to shove wide enough to make this call +ev and it's < 70bb

and OP the best advice in this thread is:

It's going to be hard to get good feedback on the hands you're posting because you're not providing much information.

use a hand converter, list relevant stats for villain as well as reads and any history and notes on game flow. Don't post results.

Of course it would.

When he says, "Pretty much - yep" and then says to raise for information and then fold, it makes me think he didn't know what he was agreeing to.

Don't raise JUST for information - but when your raise gives you information - PAY ATTENTION

You are taking a two point reasoning, isolating one point and saying that is what I said. That's a half truth which is not the whole truth.
