Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 53/19/2

I have been running into a lot of hands where I have been flopping TPTK or TPGK, and I'm not sure if I am playing them right. I don't have a specific question other than what are your thoughts on how I played this. Villain is 53,19,2 over 80 hands. Should I be playing these kinds of hands with so much aggression?

You could have bet less each street like 3/4 pot each time . But your oop so if you do check any street he is going to prob fire in position right?? Hes 53% he has anything, but his agg # is 2 right ,so i think maybe just bet less each street for pot control oop ..keep pot size smaller until you have the big hand..

I think that is one of my leaks right now, is not using pot control. I thought about it after I posted this. When I was starting out I read somewhere to always bet pot, and it stuck lol. Amazing how I have been completely disregarding a simple concept.

This is fine. At higher stakes, people will figure out that your big bets mean you're strong, so you might want to work on that. 75% of pot is typically the standard, although you can full pot wetter flops where you get lots of calls.

I'm not pot controlling against a 53/19 with a good top pair, and you shouldn't either. Just bet/fold, bet/fold, bet/fold until all the cash is in.

He ended up having a pair of 2's. But you can't win them all. Thanks for all the replies, I have learned a tremendous amount in the short time I have been here.

Please stop giving bad advice. It's ok to be new and trying to learn but don't teach until you learn a bit. Sorry for being harsh, but it can set people to lose money which is not what they're here for.

You played it perfect actually OP, refreshing to see someone value betting well for a change.

CP i don't like this.Good advice makes players feel good about there thoughts.Bad advice can be corrected and people learn.Need more people imo to try to learn more on here. Not discourage players from posting in here, not thats what you were doing but it came out that way.,

Giving bad advice is a great way to learn and your post is way out of line. Correcting his thinking is fine but essentially telling him to shut up until he knows what he's talking about is not.

Hand was played well imo. We have TP2K against a drooler and we bet every street to get AI. Well done.

Glad I have been playing these TPTK hands well. So far I have been doing pretty well at 2NL but I am only 7K hands in.

Well I didn't mean to offend him (as I specified) and it seems he didn't take offense, I just like to say things straight up. If you look up my first posts they were all donk-ish as hell and I've even had a thread done making fun of some of mine (and others') posts :D

It's fine to correct and even make fun of (lightly) but my problem was with you basically saying "Don't post til you know wtf you're talking about". It's all good, AiC will stick around and get better but I'd hate to see someone be turned off from posting in HA just because they don't know everything yet. I mean if you have to be correct to answer a shitload of my posts need to go.
