Didnt want to take away from Alfie's post w JJ and 4 callers but I had a similar hand and wondered what everyone thought. Is this is a fold after the raise on the flop? Just sat at the table but the villain was 67/7/50 after 15 hands (not enough to trust the stats from what I understand)

Here what I was thinking throughout the hand:

Flop: KK is still strong although any player could still have weak aces. so bet for value. once the re-raise from the villain I just call.

Turn: once villain checks after the raise, I dont think I can necessarily say he has a weak hand because hes so aggressive. Check for pot control?

River: still having a hard time trying to decide if small bets are to get to showdown with weak hands like a blocker bet or if its to try to induce me to re-raise. Help here? Either way I think its more likely that Im beat by a set of 2s or 3s or a weak ace.

Raise way more preflop with this hand at NL2. As played with 3 callers on this board I would just check the flop back most of the time, maybe bet something smallish on the turn or river. Basically just get to showdown.

I like the way this hand was played. I dunno about way more pre, I'd probably make it 8c. Since youre expecting a raise on this flop (I would be too), bet less (something closer to half pot) as this will allow villain to play back at you with a wider range of hands, as well as just get to SD cheap. Turn and river wp IMO

Apparently I'm wrong but aren't we up again Ax such a large percentage of the time here that calling the flop raise isn't profitable?

I definitely like checking back the turn as I doubt you would get an ace to fold and nothing that we beat is calling a bet. After he showed some weakness checking the turn I'm definitely calling the river bet.

no, "villain was 67/7/50", were definitely calling flop. turn obv a check back and never folding for 8c OTR

yea, I just didn't think those stats had any relevance with it being 15 hands....although yea 67 is high enough to tell that he clearly is playing a lot of trash even if it is such a small sample.

Eh no reason to bet this flop 5way really (is it for value or as a bluff?). The chance that there is at least one ace amidst the 8 cards in peoples' hands is roughly 54% IF everyone is playing random hands. In reality players cold-calling before the flop at $2nl will have hands weighted more heavily toward aces anyway, so the percentage is most likely higher.

Agree with raising it up a little bigger pre, but don't go overboard - it's $2nl not play money.
