Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 11/10/4

This is the third time I have problems with KK and posting here, sorry about that. I'm still trying to nail my game with monster hands in different situations. I have 175 hands tracked on the villain, they are a regular and don't play many hands so I don't remember being in the same hand with them before.

Is my opening bet ok UTG, or should it be bigger? How about bet on flop OOP, or should I check? When facing a raise on a board like this, what should I do?

SB: $2 (100 bb)
BB: $2.09 (104.5 bb)
Hero (UTG+1): $2.74 (137 bb)
UTG+2: $0.90 (45 bb)
MP1: $4.48 (224 bb)
MP2: $2.15 (107.5 bb)
MP3: $5.61 (280.5 bb)
CO: $2 (100 bb)
BTN: $2.16 (108 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Kc Ks
Hero raises to $0.08, 2 folds, MP2 calls $0.08, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.08, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.27) 3h 7d 5d (3 players)
Hero bets $0.20, MP2 raises to $0.40, BTN folds, hero???

1. 2x raise on the flop is nuts from nit or tag
2. 2x raise on the flop is mostly draw, or over pair from fish, but fish too have some nuts but not that many weak bet is weak and strong is strong.

Some easy lines against unknown, but who is labeled bad because 2x raise on the flop, not saying best is:
1. B/C - C- Fold. 3 barreling is always strong and if draw misses hardly ever there is air barrel. However use sizing tells, big bet = strong, so if turn bet is large consider fold. If small consider raise.
2. Just fold, this is easily the easiest line to take. Greatest part of the flop raises are strong hands, so no need to play further if you don’t feel like it.

With reads you can alter a lot more. And my advice is just speculation, nothing deeper know-how behind it.

I've seen plenty of nits min raise small pairs IP on low flops. They think their hand is ahead and they don't know how to play. So a min raise doesn't always mean the nuts... now a min raise by someone like this on the turn... then that's the nuts 100x more often.

To this hand, jam the flop. It's unlikely he has a draw, but there's a lot of worse big pairs he can raise and stack off with here. We can't say he only has a set here. He can easily have 88+.

Way more combos of other overpairs than sets, especially if villain has a low 3bet percentage.

If villain 3bets like 6%+ the maybe we can find a fold since TT/JJ are gone. But in general I'm with JohnA. Cram the money in, since 88-JJ have lots of overcards that kill your action.

Thanks everyone, I can see this is not one of those situations everyone agrees on. I folded and after reading your comments I'm pretty sure if I was in this situation again I'd fold.
