$2 NLHE Full Ring: KK against a big stack on bad board - double barrel or give up?

Hero (UTG+1): $4.54
MP1: $2.37
MP2: $0.70
CO: $0.76
BTN: $2.76
SB: $1.21
BB: $2.07
UTG: $2.07

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is UTG+1 with K :diamond: K
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.08, 3 folds, BTN calls $0.08, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.19) 4 :diamond: 5 :diamond: 8 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.19, BTN calls $0.19

Turn: ($0.57) 6 :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.46, Hero folds

BTN is 39 / 19 / 2.2 (44%) over 73 hands. 3bet = 12.5% but sample is small, anyway he looks aggressive.

The board sucks horribly for me since (with no reads about what he does when he has a hand) I have to assume his preflop calling range has medium hands which board hits heavily. If I fire a 2nd barrel and he doesn't fold then I am in a putrid spot, so I decided to give up.

The board now has 4 to a straight and he likely called flop with some kind of draw, which means turn card probably hit him.

1. Line check?
2. Should I fire a 2nd barrel?

OK, what if he calls turn? Triple barreling seems spewy on this board and if I check he autobets for sure.

Basically I am threatened with a stackoff and I hate that with these stack sizes and one pair hand.
