I think it's fine but because the flop is pretty dry you could check back the flop as well.

Hi, personally I do not like that check on the turn after the villain calls you in the bet of the flop I would have tried to more value to the hand, he was expecting something when he called on the flop with that 2 I would have bet to see if he was still paying

This guy seems like sort of a loose passive station, I think I would bet the turn to get value from things like little pairs that are trying to improve or 78. Would bet the river no matter what, and fold to any raise from this type of player.

I like your line. Having the Jc means protection against backdoor flush draws is less of thing
and blocks calling ranges that you are ahead of. Getting raised on the turn really sucks.
Checking back flop and betting twice would also be very fine.

Against a reeeally loose passive player you could make an argument for betting turn mid sizish and looking to bet small on brick rivers as well. However this dude only has 25 vpip so this is not the guy for this line.
