BTN: $0.69
SB: $1.46
BB: $0.70
Hero (UTG): $2.53
MP: $1.33
CO: $2.11

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is UTG with J  J :spade:
Hero raises to $0.08, 3 folds, SB raises to $0.22, 2 folds

SB is 18 / 8 / 1.9 (26%) over 2.4k hands, 3bet is 3.2%. HEM shows 4bb/100 winrate for him. My only note on him as far as peculiarities go that he once called a raise with 87s in MP (probably some kind of table read or experiment since his stats are way too nitty for that to be a rule).

Anyway, he probably knows that my UTG range is strong and I don't see him as bluffy (aggression stats support that).

- Stackoff preflop has to be -EV, at best I am flipping with AKs.
- I decided to fold since I can't profitably set mine against his stack size (nobody guarantees I stack him every time).

I need comments on my thought processes here as far as calling vs. folding goes.

P.S. It was full ring but some players were sitting out.

1st of all he's NOT decent. Less than 100bb and a 10 point gap in his vpip/pfr tells me that. That said it's fine to fold here I guess since his 3bet range is likely JJ+/AK.

Yeah I know but I meant he doesn't seem to spew a lot :D we are almost all crappy at 2NL (there are some players that seem to have some clue).

P.S. There is one Russian short stacker who buys in for 35bb and plays really well (others are garbage), so stack size alone is kinda risky as far as evaluation goes.

I would have called to see a flop, you are out of position, his range is nitty as stated. See his post flop play, is he TAG? Or does he check down to show down. Plus a min raise UTG with a strong hand in 2nl with fish everywhere is bad, x3 or even x4 is great. hardly anyone understands pre flop reading at this level. Plus, if someone does re raise you it has to be way more and the pot grows faster :)
just some thoughts

Edit: Sorry, you did raise more than a min raise, thought it was 4NL and a min raise is .08c my mistake

aren't these players called wet noodles?

but yeah, 18/8 is bad lol, if he was an 18/15 it'd be more realistic
