You shouldn't be playing full ring short stacked (<100bb) most of the time, and if you are going to play short stack poker you should fold most suited connectors pre from mp.

Seems fine otherwise.

I agree with doom, played fine after the flop but prob shouldn't have been in the hand.

Also sorry to be pedantic but you didn't have a set you had trips!

I think you should fold pre. As played yep just bet/bet/bet.

Reason for this is your new to the game and you should just concentrate on a winning TAG strategy before you start trying to apply slightly more advanced concepts.

It's cash, you don't need to play different based on what cards you get. TAG just means Tight aggresive. e.g. play good hands and v-bet alot. So no, that was an open TAG players don't generally make.

if i read that right, you left yourself 7 cents behind with your river bet.
i dont mind the way you played the hand, but if you bet slightly more OTT, you could bet all in on the river and win more.

in spots like this where you have the best hand 99% of the time, you need to think about sizing your bets on each street in the best possible way to get your stack in by the river

you tried trapping again. stop it. bet when you have a hand.
obv its still going in here, but a hand like A5 isnt going to raise battle you on the river like this, so you get the most money in by betting every street and lose a ****LOAD of value when you check the flop.

no more checking flops after you raised pre and flop a big hand

oh yeah and 3b shove the river, dont min 3b.
again, lots of worse aces will just call the 3b and not 4b over the top, so you lose tons of value again

Being card dead and bored is not a good reason to play bad or even mediocre hands. If you know you shouldn't play them, then it's a clear mistake to do so as well as a clear indication you need to work on your-self-discipline. If you don't know, then you need to work on the foundation of your game.

Arj is right - as usual. This is a HUGE leak in your game and will bite you in the ass more times than not. It is a very tough habit to break so stop it NOW. You are already emotionally connected to it because you got lucky. That will just get worse and you will go down a road of forcing action that is just not there. I know you are thinking it's no big deal - it's just one hand (and another and another...) but your opponents will notice and get a hold of your donkitude and break it off on you. So prepare for and expect to be bored.
I know you've seen this done on TV but you need to understand that there are qualifiers for opening pots with hands like this and this hand met none of them. For one thing attempting this with a short stack vs BBB big stacks was just suicidal. Imagine if that flop was 689r. Now what?
Definitely a PF fold.

First hand: 1st mistake is sitting w/ 53 bbs. If you decide to commit to 79s(which you shouldn't) and you have a limp in front 3x is too small.4x min 5x probably better. You should bet 3/4pot all streets for better value as opposed to 1/2pot otf and ott.

Second hand: If I've learned one thing from choop it's that you need to pot that hand pre (5x even). You're only getting value from another Ax hand so you should be betting all streets. Don't trap in 2nl. EVER.
