Hero raises to 4 BB, UTG+1 calls 4 BB, fold, fold, fold, CO calls 4 BB, fold, fold, fold

Flop: (13.5 BB, 3 players) 9:club: 6:club: Q:diamond:
Hero bets 8 BB, fold, CO calls 8 BB

Turn: (29.5 BB, 2 players) T:club:

Villain was mostly an unknown since I only had 8 hands. This is a standard fold right? And no reason to cbet the turn either?

Sometimes if your really unsure it's best to fold. And you didn't lose much at all.

Not much could be said about this hand, he is representing a hand and theres enough out there to believe it.

Agree with Aces here 100%, flushes are in he callled with and big broadway straights in his range he flatted also along w/ sets, easy fold

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying to play smarter with my premium hands and not get attached to them when there is the chance I am beat.

Would anyone cbet the turn here?

yes, w/ but ould rthink of it more as a barrell , and especiallyu if we had Kc, but like I said vs. a nitty/passive villain would barrell some % to rep the fl;ush

Not sure why this is a thread

Because I'm new player trying to improve my game by getting feedback from the CardsChat community.

easiest fold in the world? Or am I missing something?

Thanks for the feedback. A few weeks ago I probably would have been so attached to my Kings that I would have lost my stack.

Or am I missing something?

Hence the reason for my post. I thought my fold was good, but I wanted some confirmation that it was a good play and that I hadn't missed something.

Thanks Aces, you would be correct. I've been playing about 6 months and have less than 10k hands in cash games.

I appreciate everyone's feedback.

Can everyone smell the silent judgment in this thread???lol. I think you definitely made the right move here. The villain has position on everyone in the hand and he was getting decent pot odds to call preflop. He could be holding a wide range of hands and this board hits a ton of them. Like Aces...I;m going to shut down on the turn unless my opponent is VERY tight.

Why check turn? He can be betting a Q or a strong flush draw, don't really represent AA there in my opinion, JJc TTc

Great fold. J8 and JK just got their straight and theres a flush chance. However, a potsized bet on the flop would have eliminated drawing hands (if they called it'd be a mistake), you might have won the hand there. A 10.5 BB bet would have been great, also.
