Personally I call off pre jams with AK. Some dont like it as majority of the time its pp and are flipping but thats when villains are 100b deep, here, especially when villain is only 30-40bb deep, its a snap call.
Were completely dominating his entire range.

Yeh, let me just add, we should re-shove, as we dont want a flat from the bb or anything, just isolate fish....

Ye should be calling if not reshoving (which i prefer here) you should be flipping at worst most of the time

Why just the call? Is it because your re-shove will only get called by QQ+? Or to try and get value from another player?

Seems a bit greedy

yeah thats true, should have snapped called, like you say he was only 35bb deep and it wouldnt have done much damage if i lost the flip....but its such a poor play on the villians behalf, if he did have a big pp why shove like that....

when you say re-shove, do you mean me go all in or just put a pot size bet out?

Gotta get that money in there for this one... ill take a flip for the villians 35bb everytime.. but id def try to isolate him cuz im sure more at the table would be willing to gamble for the cheap...

Re-raise all-in. :)

Edit: i saw thread title, first thought that came to my mind was snap call/shove.

Don't think its got anything to do with being greedy. I just call because that's what i would do with AA,KK even 88 or 99, so when i call i can have all these good hands, its kind of a balance thing which obviously doesnt matter at 2nl because if i ship here with AK its the only hand i ship with ( i'd call 88 and 99 planning to fold to raises off some guys, but not wanting to fold pre cause i think its such a way ahead spot of the shorties range, so shoving would suck) Shoving with AA and KK obviously sucks. And when i flat with AK here im never folding, i dont care what the flop comes down as really if i get called because the SPR will be so low and i think flatting in such whale infested games is going to even open up "regs" to shoving over with AQ sometimes or TT which wouldnt be bad 3 way where they might otherwise fold. I mean its not super important but it is when you play higher games, both are going to be really +EV i just think there is more value flatting your whole continuing range for reasons above.

basically, flatting lets me keep their ranges wider and lets them make more mistakes.

Snap reshove...ask yourself how often he would just open shove with AA or KK...then how often with QQ JJ AQss 10 10....Etc.

Plug it into pokerstove and you'll end up a clear favorite over his range...not to mention a small overlay or whatever plus misclick equity, lol.

INSTAshove :) never flding AK in that spot. 30 hands is too few hands to consider his pfr 0 as a threat in this spot.
