Villain is tight and I've met him quite a few times. Although tight, he is quite passive. Stats: 12/5

MP: $3.00
MP+1: $2.47
CO: $2.01
BTN: $1.16
SB: $2.03
Hero (BB): $1.61
UTG: $1.92
UTG+1: $0.87

SB posts SB $0.01, Hero posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero has [Ks] [Kh]
fold, fold, fold, MP+1 raises to $0.08, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.06

Flop: ($0.17, 2 players) [7c] [6s] [Kd]
Hero (?)

I had a plan that I didn't follow and I'm kicking myself for it, but I'd like to hear how could this hand be handled for value.

Thanks!

^^ 3 bet everytime!

As played, he will cbet this flop with his entire range. c/c, then lead on turn.

3 bet didn't cross my mind I admit. But what I did next was even worse. My plan was to c/c and if the board was as dry as that, keep calling and raise the river or if the board became coordinate, take the lead.

But instead of that I c/r the flop and he folded. I really feel it was a dumb dumb play, moreover because I didn't stick to my plan.

Guess next time I'll 3bet and if he calls I'll try to extract more value.

The problem with checking turn, is that he probably doesn't have a K, and if he doesn't connect with turn, he will check behind and you can lose some value. It's one of those hands you probably won't make a lot of money on, so just try to sqeeze anything you can out.

Whats your pre flop 3-betting range? Obviously it changes with position and player but in general it will 100% always include KK. Flatting with AA is bad but with KK is even worse because if that A falls it's tricky to play.

Anyway 3-bet pre as he's shown strength and will 100% want to see a flop and it'll help you extract value on later streets with larger bets.

My 3bet range is just QQ+ :) I understand, but my 3betting is just starting to show. I never 3bet with AK for instance.

I think if you decide to mix up your play by flatting KK you'd better do it in position. It is easy enough trapping yourself in position by flatting these hands never mind OOP. Donking might look weak or you could check / call and try getting some value on the turn.
