I'm folding pre in that spot, not looking to play KT oop being very likely dominated via an MP 3.5bb open and also not closing the action with the bb still behind, I probably raise before I call but being oop vs 2 vill just sucks with a potentially dominated hand like KT.

Do you have any stats on vils?

Straights also got there on the river, and the bb having been passive on both prev streets is likely to have a hand or simply be bluffing given mp2 didn't continue on the turn expecting he can take it down often.

MP2 is likely to have an AK, KQ, QQ, JJ (weighted more towards AK, KQ) type hand so I don't think you have to fear being beat by MP2 (unless he shows up with QJ) having made your 2 pair on the river.....

The question is what range of hands do you expect bb to lead out with on the river after having taken such a passive line with the pot still being mw? This is where any info on them would come in handy, I think a flush draw is more likely to float the flop than QJ so heavily weighted towards the flush or air or possibly a Kx type hand himself.

I think I'm often going to call myself in this spot given the odds we get with MP2 comming along and my thoughts being we have MP2 beat almost all the time here, and that we only need to be beating the bb about 1/4 times to break even on the call and certainly think he could be stabbing here often enough without the flush or straight (or slow played set, which i'd expect to raise flop mw with the diamond draw out there).

Well that's my thoughts, given basically looking at them as unknowns.

Reads matter lot here. Preflop could be a 3bet, call, or fold based on the profile of your opponents.

As played it's a simple call on the river. Against some villains it's a check raise on the river.

Like c9 said you could 3bet here, i'm never folding pre with it.

.......

This villain if turns up with a flush appears to be the passive type. I'd make a note on that. a lot of players like to play draws aggressively.

I don't mind the preflop call myself. Hearts come out YAY, not to mention a K, which you got. You have a medium kicker, there are worse things. I pot size bet at the flop and shut 'er down right there or hopefully at least one of them. Turn I bet 1/2 pot, my sequence up to this point says I got the flush. At that point even A's might consider folding. If anybody was still around on the river I triple barrel half the pot, only thin I am scared of is flush, QJ, trips, which they may have, but I like my odds. QJ and trips are folding to my represented flush, so technically only thing I am worried about is the flush. And what xxheart hand is betting preflop with CO, button to go? In MP2 that would start at about TJ and we have one of the T's so that is less likely. Next is the JQ which is just not likely that they have a flush and straight draw. QK? You have one of the K's and one is on the board, could happen, but less likely. Same goes for KA. And then the fact that they all check the turn, nobody has the flush. But you wouldn't be posting this if you had won, well maybe, but not likely, so I think, as unlikely as it may be you got beat by trip K's. Villain was rockin' & rollin' right up until the turn, stalled out for a sec, nobody bet at it and he went for for full value on the river.
