First posting in hand analysis so go easy.....

poker stars $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em - 7 players - Villain stats 31/0/1.7 from only 17 hands.

BB: $1.24
UTG: $0.84
UTG+1: $1.43
Hero (MP): $2.00
CO: $0.89
BTN: $1.47
SB: $0.80

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is MP with J ♣ K ♣
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.06, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.06, 1 fold, BB calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.19) 4 ♣ J ♥ 8 ♣ (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.18, BTN raises to $1.41 all in, BB folds, Hero?

Views on how to play/or different ways to have played the hand? Wouldn't normally open with KJ MP but was seduced by the suitedness.

I would call that all day and I would have called with the suited K J also. That's an extremely nice flop for what you have.

Flop: ($0.19) 4 ♣ J ♥ 8 ♣ (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.18, BTN raises to $1.41 all in, BB folds, Hero calls $1.23

Turn: ($3.01) 7 ♦ (2 players - 1 is all in)

River: ($3.01) 6 ♠ (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $3.01
Hero shows J ♣ K ♣ (a pair of Jacks)
BTN shows 8 ♥ 8 ♦ (three of a kind, Eights)
BTN wins $2.90
(Rake: $0.11)

Was obviously not chuffed by the outcome but wasn't unhappy with the play. Unfortunately was one of several duff hands in a nearly 5 BI losing session hence posting to check. Still $30 up on 2NL through 8.8k hands but well aware am leaky as hell and just trying to plug as many as possible before variance bites.

Yeah easy call imo I think you still have around 30% equity if he has the set.
