preflop: fold pre. your hand sucks and youre OOP.

flop: you have a big hand, and its very likely favourite to win (i cant see 2Nl players playing FD's this aggressively, and therefore i think if a diamond peels youre always going to be good).
best line here is check/raising, since were happy to get a lot of money in with this hand, and the fold equity we get from check raising adds even more +EV

I'd play this from the button, probably not from the BB.

Check/call or check/raise the flop depending on reads of your opponents (most likely a check/call). You played this hand (I'm assuming) for implied odds, so we should try to make our hand as cheaply as possible, and then try to extract the maximum.

If you're calling this preflop, its because you think his range is tight right? We're expecting to get paid off by his tight range when we hit too, ya? So.... why are you trying to bluff a guy with an admittedly tight range? Especially when our straight outs are fairly well concealed.

People do the same stuff when they setmine, and it drives me nuts. They called to hit a set because they were like "lol, he's got a tight range". But then they miss and try to bluff their way out of it. You can't have it both ways. Villain either started the hand pre with a tight range or not.

imo no, hero isnt calling this pre bc he thinks villain has a tight range. hero is calling bc he wants to play a hand and feels pot committed w a BB out there. but ye i get your logic for sure and its def applicable where villain has a tight range, but he doesnt (read; shouldnt) here since hes a 2NL player lol

As mentioned above definitely just fold this pre. Many decisions in poker are a domino effect, one mistake compounds itself into even bigger ones later. Unless you are an exceptional postflop player there is probably no chance that you are going to turn a small suited connector OOP into a winner...even at NL2.

Most people at 2NL play more like 20/4 rather than 20/19. I'd think at 2nl, his range would be tighter. We probably have more implied odds here than we do against your average 100 NL player.

Just what is it you were looking for by posting this hand?

It is normally a preflop fold, but I can see occasionally playing the small SC's. You either just reloaded, or are new to play at this table, which? If new to play at this table, you have no reads....fold. If you just reloaded, and decided to play these cards...my guess is you are tilting, and you should have shut down your PC and gone to
buy new underwear...for the day.

Under a more normal session you know that you are damned if you do and damned if you don't play the occasion small cards/sc's, if only to keep your image confusing. Thing is here that you got married to this hand. I fear you are in divorce proceedings......badabump:cool:
