I agree with cbetting the flop. It is very dry flop and can be win easily.

It's a great bet on the river since it's guaranteed that you can't win the pot any other way.

Check calling the flop is OK.

+1 to cbetting this.

I don't like the bluff on the river because you didn't bet the turn.

See at 2 NL people will take ur bet as you have the A on the turn if you bet both streets including riv
At 20NL u bet at the A ppl know you don't have it...

It's really bizzare lol.

Anyways to summarize what I just meant.

Just make sure you know how to tell a story, because regs will call you and know it won't make sense.

Cbet or check calling is fine with me on the flop. it all depends on the type of players in the pot. You should definitely bet the turn as an A is within your perceived range and bet again on the river if you want to bluff.

Of course. It's like a classic situation of the board pairing with multiple players seeing the flop. Whoever leads out doesn't tend to have trips - they tend to just be bluffing and trying to steal the pot. Whoever check/calls or check/raises tends to have a monster hand and is slow playing it. That's how it works at the really low (micro) stakes at least.

I prefer to lead out on the flop. We are likely ahead, we buy up our equity for over cards, we sometimes get floated by broadway type hands, and we have a stronger range in general.

As played, the check-call isn't terrible. Button will often try to steal the pot or value bet smaller pocket pairs.

Now, the ace on the turn. I think that's a good card to show aggressive action on. You can donk, check call, or check raise, and all will be effective for making a move on the river. The only hangup is if the Ace pairs.

So here's the question: what are you folding out on the river exactly? Is 9s full going to fold to a single bet? No. Is any Ace ever folding here? Clearly not. Maybe we fold pocket 8s? I don't think TT+ is ever folding to a single bet here. Everything else that folds is stuff we already beat.

I actually think this is a thin value bet, and you are looking to get called by pocket pairs. 22, 44-66.

This is a bluff, it'd be one hell of a thin value bet with 7 high. It's a good bet because if he checks he loses. It's the only way to win the pot at this point.
