So I called flop cos as far as I knew he could have had anything of that flop that he would bet ranging from bottom pair up to a straight. And I also didn't had bad hand; top pair with straight draw. But probably not strong enough to rise, right? Cos he might had two pair or straight, or set. On turn pretty much nothing changes I think, plus he bet less than 50% pot anyways. On river he got scared from straight I guess, I was scared too so nothing happened. Did I do the right calls here?

Yea, I would fold to 50%+ of pot bet too. But it's less than half pot bet! This was the main reason I called; he bet rather little amount so just assumed he does not have huge hand, cos otherwise he would probably go crazy on me if he would.

Small sample but clearly plays like a fish. I think the passive play fared you well in this hand but on the flop I might sometime go for a check raise. This may be a bit aggressive but I don't usually give a fish of this sort credit for KQ and they can do it even with Tx. Also when they donk and I have a hand which may be good or susceptible to be out drawn I, at times, ignore the fact that villain bet and carry my cbet which is actually a raise. Plus we had position. In this particular example he sucked out on the turn but that is just one of the many possibilities that may happen. You could have turned a King there instead in which case ur raise would be in the clear.

Either way when they bet ridiculous small bets it is hard to fold even if you want to, but the downside is that the table gets to see more of how you play with that particular holding and stuff so I also fold at times to a small bet when I know I might not have the hand.

Anyway these are one of those marginal hands/situations you will encounter frequently where you fold or call wont matter that much and will win/lose some and wont be a big difference on your win rate so don't stress yourself too much with it. You are playing for the big money at this stake and that is after you flop a big hand. Happy grinding!

Also, when you are playing a lot of marginal hands with showdown, imho, what matters more than winning is the table image you solidify with your play and hand strength. For example in this hand you are showing signs of being a tight player maybe a slight passive or not. So as your character strengthens you can use to make well calculated bluffs at the right spots bc your table image plays huge in those situations.

But most importantly: Read everything I say with a grain of salt :)
