$2 NLHE Full Ring: AQ pot already raised

Im really not sure what to do here, AQ, should we 3 bet pre? Could we lead out if checked to?

I know some of you who have advised me about button play will say go ahead and 3 bet but.....

Well played, call to keep the limping fish in. When he folds, if the original raiser checks we can just bet and take the pot away, if he calls and they both check to us we can bet and take the pot away also, easy game.

3betting would be OK here, and calling is fine too.

I wouldn't have given up so easily when he cbet, looks good for a float.

I'm fine w/calling pre. We keep a lot of hands in we dominate, we give orginial mong a chance to come along. Then on the flop I'd float. I expect him to bet his entire range in this spot. We have decent equity against his entire range plus we can bet him off some middling pairs ott.

In spots like this, are we looking to raise if he fires another bullet on a blank turn?

Nope, if we float we want him to check to us so we can just take it away from his AK and lower pairs. Depends on a lot of things though, if he's just gonna put us on a jack and fold that'd be cool. We don't have to win every pot though, floating here could be cool, or it could be shit. He's not gonna be too worried about his TT or 99 for example on a JJx flop so if we do float we might have to fire turn AND river. I'm fine with floating or just folding but you really don't have to go out your way to win every hand or float every time you can.

3 bet pre flop then you become the pre flop aggressor, and then you can put the continuation bet in. If he holds up, then check/fold turn unless you hit something.

I would tend towards three betting here...

This is basically a classic three betting situations to me. A smallish 3 bet and a legit Cbet will win a lot, plus, we are balancing out ourranges for 3b in the future.

I like calling pre way more than 3betting. Keeps in hands we dominate

I 3bet pre here most of the time, take it down pre or bet the flop and take it down.
