you should bet larger because your in ep 4 times, 5 times. no you shouldn't be worried bout a straight OTT imo. youve got top2 vs a passive fish.

cooler

played it fine

dont be results orientated

Thanks for the reassurance. I feel like I'm making better plays other than a few mistakes. I got into the habit of betting bigger EP but lost it again - will focus on that. Thanks

villain not raising in the river is the mystery but do you expect QT to be in the calling range for UTG+1 ???

Did villain misclicks at river?

You did fine for me and so are the bettings.

At river, I prefer what you did than checking it. Nice play.

Bet-bet-bet is the perfect line. The vast majority of the time you get value from weaker two pairs or AJ or AQ that paired up on the turn. Nothing to do but move on.

That being said, if you get raised, fold. I can tell you from experience that bluffs are very rare in this spot. As the preflop raiser barreling all three streets, players will almost always give you credit for a very strong hand and a raise will always be something like QT, or possibly 55.

Even if you bet 5 BB he might just call anyways at those levels. I regularly see 4-5 handed in pots with 4x - 5x.

Why open higher?

I see QT in his range, but his range is pretty wide and speculative - I wouldn't have been surprised if he was calling with worse. I would fold to a raise on the river against someone this passive. Wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a miss click either really.

Wow no raise on the river?? You opponent was a beginner so his range could have been anything. You are just lucky you didn't lose more money.
