I wouldn't have folded just yet.

K-Q is a possibility. However, villain turning an inferior 2-pair makes more sense to me.

I would have called the turn raise and reassessed on the river. Probably c/c river too.

Just my 2 cents.

i think just calling the turn is a bad move since we are oop, i think on the turn the only moves we can do is get it in if we think our hand beat his range or fold if we think we are beaten. i cannot see calling as an option here

Hard to play without stats but I don't mind the fold

I'm fine with this. Tempted to call as an unknown could feasibly do this with twopair although we're almost certainly calling a river bet as well unless he pots it so the good odds being laid are deciptful.

Why's that? Just interested :)
It's nitty and boring and makes ridiculously good hands into marginal spots and just... ugh.

Also I don't fold this. Bottom two, AT, QJ/QT/KJ/KT, AK/AQ and KK/QQ outnumber KQ and sets. Plus if Villain is a fish he'll have all sorts of other ridiculous stuff that also outnumber KQ.

Like seriously, think about it. There is one hand (barring sets which are so ridiculously rare they're just coolers and not worth considering) that beats you here. How many others are strong enough for Villain to raise for value that you beat?

{KQ, JJ ,TT} make 20 combos, when against anyone but a fish is a huge proportion of a very tight flatting range. Adding weaker 2pair AK AQ KT to a non-fishes range here is wildly delusional.

Against a fish I would not be surprised to see 2pair raise here from time to time maybe once in a blue moon something obscene like AK so I'd call for our odds but we're still out of position have a tough river ahead of us and don't.

Against an unknown I just fold as we're dead vs regs meh vs fish.

I think we have to take the concept of 2NL reg with a grain of salt; default vs. an unknown at this level should not be that he's a "reg."
