glad to hear it. He showed 89 to make his straight. I was definitely a big fav with that pairing.

Fine. Look to SPR (stack to pot ratio) for decisions like this. Here it's under 3.5 and a super easy call with TPTK.

Also, don't post results here (at least not until the discussion is finished) or I'll be forced to move it to BBC.

Apologies as people were saying it's an easy call I presumed there wouldn't be any more discussion.

Can you please show me your working for stack to pot ratio as I'm not sure where the number comes from.

2.07 (stack)/1.67(pot) ?

Also how do you use this number to decide if it's a call or not?

It's based on the smaller remaining stack (here his) to the size of the preflop pot.

So in this case .73 / .21 or 3.4. You don't need to know it precisely here you can quickly see that it's under 4 and know you shouldn't fold.

Search the forums for SPR to see how to use these numbers.

Thanks VH, it's added to my list of things to study over Christmas. Home on Friday so no poker until the 29th for me. Don't worry, I have over 200 pages of articles printed out that I plan on digesting.
Perfect! nh.
Thanks I know this one wasn't the toughest of calls, just when I lost I wanted to make sure it was fine.
