Its quite clear they have a flush, but I'm wondering should I have let it go, given that I knew he didn't have the A, J or 10? I had thought the chances were he wouldn't be getting in with much less than that!

Im trying to grind the micro stakes cash and just get consistent profit, which I am currently, but in this case is it a tad risky?

Thanks

I don't think you should lay it down, given the way he played it by calling your raise OTT I'd be inclined just to call the river. Its obvious you both have the flush, and there are only so many hearts he can call with here after your raise OTT IMO, depending how lose/tight he is...

Do you have his stats?

His stats were 28/12/73 over 120 hands. You're probably right, a call on the river might have been the best option!

Given his stats though I don't think your raise was terrible. Its just if he comes over the top on the river your in a nasty spot. Just checked stack sizes again and your nearly committed OTT, so by the river really your only option is call or shove.

His line is so strange that I think you could argue shove the river but I prefer to just call there and we gain info going to showdown anyway

Why not 3bet pre-? If you're not 3betting JJ here, what's your range? QQ+ and AK? Less? Does having such a conservative 3bet range (under 2%) seem like good poker? Does it seem conducive to improving your game and profitability?

Why so aggressive if holding only 2nd or 3rd best?

He too was concern if youre holding the king of hearts. LOL. :)

Wowzer, car crash stuff seriously.

3 bet pre flop.

Do not turn your hand into a bluff on later streets in a muli-way ace high flop. Given that after your flop raise is called by more than one player, I am done with the hand.

Call river.

should of definitely 3bet that way you avoid donks playing 3 Qs, he called the turn re-raise, so i'd opt to flat call the river as he's probably not going to call a re-raise with anything worse than a J high
