UTG bets $0.35 (All-In), MP1 raises $2.03 (All-In), Hero ???

UTG 35/13/inf over 24 hands
MP1 14/10/inf over 316 hands

From analysis using pokerstove looks like equity was in my favour, but still I wonder if I should have bet out more strongly preflop? Pretty sure I was right to get it all in on the flop though(?) - at the time the only thing I was concerned about was one of them might have flopped a set, and there was the obvious flush draw on the board too. Hmmm, what do you think about how I played this hand?

I think he's refering to the fact he lost to both hands, not just one. The lost vs the flush draw and vs the pocket 8's.

yes and yes. try to make your reraises at least 3 times the previous bet on this level :) personally, with those limpers i'd have made it around 25 or even 30 cents to go.

Thanks for your input.

PattyR, yes, it was because it kinda felt like I lost twice because had I at least come ahead of the guy who made 888 on the river I would have been up results wise.

5. Do NOT indicate what the outcome of the hand is, especially in the opening post. This is a truly irrelevant piece of information, since it's an unknown variable when you acted throughout the hand. It also biases the analysis - if I know that you got sucked out on the river, I may not think clearly about what your action should have been on the flop.

Make sure you leave out your results so you get an unbiased answer. Also make sure your thread title doesn't give anything away - I changed it for you :D

Another note:

This brings up a corollary rule:

6. Do NOT post brags and bad beats in HA. Post those in the BBV forum. Believe me, we feel for you, we sympathize, we've been there, we're happy for you, you're an awesome player - but that's not relevant to hand analysis.

I'll let this one go, because it seems you did want a little bit of analysis and you got a little bit of feedback, but generally if you're only curious about the outcome of the hand because you lost, then that pretty much qualifies it as a bad beat. So yeah, don't do it again!

Ah, sorry on the first point, I didn't realise it was a rule. I can see why it is though! Thanks.

On your second point, yes I did really want some advice, and it wasn't a bad beat post, because it wasn't really what I would call a bad beat. My pointing out I 'lost twice' was simply to inject some humour into it. Sorry about that.

Heh I understand what you mean, I just thought it might inject some bias into your post. I'm glad you're enthusiastic about posting in Hand Analysis though!
