Did I play this right? Looking at the stats a high pocket pair was expected but I decided to peel in case I hit a set. Flop gave me an open ender so that is why I floated plus the villain cbet more then 86% on flop. So was this the right play here?

Yeah, in position I'm fine calling this pre. The c-bet sizing and turn check looks like this guy whiffed. Why would you bet that much on the flop, and then check a blank turn. Doesn't make sense. Getting 3:1 on the river I'm also inclined to call at this level since guys do all sorts of dumb bluffs.

Damn! I guess I was fixated that villain has an overpair and I need set or better to win. I did not think he could be doing same with AK or similar...

What about taking the lead on the turn? The stake and hand, is it wise to grow the pot with an off chance to take it down??

Calling pre okay because of stack sizes and position. Betting the turn is a good idea. There's a lot of tagfish players who have a high cbet flop% and give up on the turn if they haven't hit. You need a bigger sample size, but anyone with decent preflop stats it's a good idea to check their flop and turn cbet%. If the turn is much lower, it's a good idea to start floating a lot of flops vs them and taking it down in the turn when they check to you.
