flat preflop - why are we raising?

I think 3betting pre is pretty bad vs a nit, as played i think betting 3 like you did is fine in the hopes he is a bad nit like many of them are and cant get away from AQ.

i 3bet to get value from worst hands like Ax, against pairs its about 50/50, and if he 4bets its definitely a fold and plus we have initiative on the flop although we are oop. that is what i thought when i 3bet maybe its wrong how i think but most times i like to 3bet Ak preflop and some times i like flat calling with Ak only in position and especially with lag players

a 6/6/0 player wont be calling your 3b with worse Ax hands or pairs. He is 4b or fold and everything he 4b beats you and we have to fold. In other words we are turning AK into a bluff (which is bad). Your logic is correct about AK but not vs this type of player and a person generally in early position. Vs a tag/lag/loose type player in late position that logic would make a ton more sense.

Ditto
The postflop advise may appear to contradict the preflop advise but as unlikely as AQ may be or that KK stacks AA is a mere 1combo.
