Played it about right. Just a shitty board for AA. I may even shut down on that turn card

If he has KK he might have 4bet you preflop. You are most likely beat here as I don't think he's playing like this with any lesser hand.

A good laydown.

Why would he raise that high on turn :/

Could not of been for value and if he is a nit like you say he probably knows about getting value from his hands. Very weird but I would of folded too.

I just can't see him having AQ since you have 2 A's as blockers but it is possible. KK he probably would of 4bet pre but not always so I would say that is more likely.

Only explanation I can think of is that the villian turned a set of Kings and raised you so big to push you off potential straight draws?

Even still shoving the turn is just odd because what if you had AQ? This seems to me to just be a bad player that probably hit his hand and derp shoved all his chips.

I suspect he's more likely to have JJ or TT than KK. With KK, even a nit might well 4bet pre or raise the flop with his overpair.

So, while KK is possible, JJ and TT seem to fit his actions better - open raising pre then calling your 3bet, then only calling your flop bet with top or middle set to encourage you to bet again on the turn.

I agree. The most probable explanation. Very good play all the same
