I am theanunderdog.

Flop thinking: I was thinking hands like Ax, Qx, flush draws, straight draw, some set might show up. An Ax hand that beat me seemed quite unlikely considering I held an Ax hand myself. Set is also unlikely, chance of pocket pair and connecting w/ flop seemed slim. Looks like the most likely hands I'm up against are weaker Ax, Qx, and flush draws. In retrospect, I think I should have raised on the flop.

Turn thinking: I was thinking there's a chance I was still ahead and even if I wasn't there's also a chance of completing a straight on the river. I think this thinking is wrong. Thinking back it looks unlikely that most hands that I beat would bet the flop+turn oop into a 3 way pot.

River thinking: Villain offered me something like 1:4 pot odds so I decided to call on the off chance he had some kinda weak Ax hand since the odds offered looked pretty good.

Thanks for any help! I'll post the hand results later!

Raise more pre-flop... bet more on the flop. Turn and river are fine. River is probably only slightly +EV. You'll be beat most of the time of course. Looks a lot like QJ.

Your hand looks good on preflop, so you must bet a lil' bit larger or just everyone goes on pot with any two cards, flop same mistake, you give a chanse drawing for villains, bet more, and protect yourself, think he got Ax weak mb, but post above with QJ also true, 'cause players on micro rarely bluff, overall tight game and strong value-lines.

The villain did in fact have QJ

I definitely agree with your takes on pre/flop play.

Thank you guys for the advice!
