is kq a 3-betting hand or a pre raise call?

KQs isn't a great hand to 3b with in general, it's not strong enough to 3bet for value...if you are in position and the original raiser calls a lot of 3bets (ie his 3b calling range includes worse hands than KQs) then you can 3b for value. It's not great to 3b as a bluff either because it's a nice hand that flops well.

In this hand I especially wouldn't 3b because the original raiser is UTG and his range should be strong. The fact that you are MP also makes me less inclined to 3b because of all the players left to act.

Call or fold pre depending on how nitty UTG is imo

+1

UTG raisers, especially regs typically come out with AK and AQ a lot which will not fold to a 3bet more likely than not. Needless to say, against these two, you are royally screwed.

If you're going to 3bet a UTG raise at all, do it with a PP imo.

I probably wouldn't in this situation since he's UTG and could be a passive fish(which means his raise means something). I might just flat pre but even that could be iffy due to how many people are behind you, so it could be a fold pre

depends on the guy, im 3betting fish with this almost all the time even if there stats say they are 40/8. It's also probably one of the best hands we can 3bet bluff tight regs with if we want a bluffing range in the first place. K Q are great blockers and being suited means if we do get called we have some playability too (but thats only if i cant call KQs profitably in the first place), so gotta disagree with mm here
