Well if you just call your playing dangerously.
You won the hand which is great, but could you make more money from the hand? well the answer is yes ofc you can.

Perhaps you just call his raise and he has 2 diamonds. Well your enabling him to catchup. But perhaps he's got 109 diamonds... he definitely has a lot of outs. I highly doubt that though since his bet was quite high. But if you get ace of diamonds on the turn or river you'll collect his 2 dollars.

I'd put him on complete air or a weak queen at best since he folded easily... and his bet size was just a stab to steal the pot right there... A lot of players in 2nl will chase a flush right down to the wire and that's why we value bet. That means you could probably cancel any straight draws as well.

So now since the information you've given in the hand, perhaps the best case scenario would've been flat calling and hoping he'll try and double barrell you... This might be a question you might want to know the answers to... also Headsup more ppl are likely to bluff and play aggressive to run over you, Which makes your bet either the nuts or complete air.

If he had low pockets well your bet was probably correct since if he hits say 77 well then he's taking all your chips unless your better your hand which is unlikely at that stage.

So probably the best line here is to call and re-assess if any of the scare cards come on the turn. Or like you say hit the boat on the river and clean up:) Thanks for the input Aces2

Well you didn't check/raise you bet/raised, but the best line here is to just raise immediately and GII like you did, not slowplay it against a nit who only plays premium hands. wp. If he shows up with Q/Q then just shrug it off.
