Hello everybody,

I just played this hand where I got into a tough spot.

I did some reraises in the last few hands where I took down pots, one against
UTG, so I might have been percieved as loose. UTG seemed to be a solid multitabling TAG.

So only 6-handed at the moment, sitting on 2.88$ in the CO with AdQd

UTG (2.28$) raises .06$
HJ (2$) 3-bets to .16$
Hero calls
UTG calls
(Pot: .49$)

Flop AhKd8s

Both villains check
Hero bets .36$
UTG calls
HJ folds
(Pot: .1.19$)

Turn 3s

UTG checks
Hero bets .72$
UTG goes all-in for 1.76$
(Pot: 3.67$, 1.04$ to call)

Is this an auto-fold? I didn't really see with which hands he could be bluffing. I could see him doing this move with 88 and 33, may be AK, reraising the turn may be because of the flush draw aswell.
Also is calling the 3bet preflop with AQs the standard approach?

Thanks for your replies!

i would think that AK is more likely than 33 or 88, most people dump 33 from utg and 88 would be on the very bottom of his range (For your standard TAG player).

He still never really has AK. . Does he check Top two on the flop? No. He doesnt have 2 pair. He never has a three in his hand, and it would be hard to bluff on a blank like that. He has already made his hand on the flop, This is a must call i think. The only thing i would be afraid of here is 88.

It’s definitely a call. You’ve got 21% pot odds here. Basically the only thing you are way behind is AK and 88 (agree that he doesn’t stick around with 33). You might be able to remove AK too, since he might reraise with it. Could be a fellow AQ, or AJ/AT. Some pocket spade semi bluffs here too

Yeah you're right, with these pot odds a call should seem obvious. Thanks for the help.

tough spot

i would be on the assumption that with the raise pre flop that he has medium pair or 2 high cards so easly could have flopped a set or two pair

raise pre flop

I wouldnt say the 3bet preflop was standard unless you had a read he was weak from previous hands
