Flop: ($3.37) :10c4: :7d4: :9s4: (3 players)

Turn: ($3.37) :10c4: :7d4: :9s4: :qc4: (3 players)

River: ($3.37) :10c4: :7d4: :9s4: :qc4: :6c4: (3 players)

I dont normally open shove with 99 but I thought this was a decent play here due to villain's vp. I had about 15 hands or so on villain and villain had VPIP of nearly 50. I felt my 99 was well ahead of his range. I did a odds check later after villain revealed hand and saw that I was only a coin flip to win the hand. Im wondering if this is a good move or if I just got lucky.

Not good. 15 hands is not enough info unless you saw him shoving with ATC preflop

Are we calling the reraise then check raising the flop?

Call the preflop raise, then betting on the flop, shoving if he raises. At that point, I can only see him having another set, a straight draw, or a high pp.

too small of a sample to verify he is a spew.

loose vpip doesnt mean he is stacking off with 88 preflop. You beat 88 and below and are flipping vs stuff like JT. Youre never in a good spot all in here.

id rather fold preflop because villain is pretty much unkown and we are oop with no advantage. 60% or more of the time there will be an overcard. I dont see how we will profit here.

50vpip does not tell you what his 3bet range looks like. I was playing live last night and all but one player was a 50+vpip (I have a HUD on my mobile). Yet none of them had 3bet anything other than KK+ all night and the highest PFR other than my own at the table was 12%.

I call pre to set mine.
