What are your thoughts on this hand? Should I have folded and not leave it to chance? Feels like I had no control over this hand whatsoever...

Why are you playing with only 38.5BB?

Auto-top up so you have at least 100BB at all times!

As played, I would've folded to his "stacking move".
Make a note that he does this with good draws. Next time you could call more confidently.

Noted. I have a tendency to start with 40bb for some reason...

Oh, yeah, come to think of it: why are you minraising preflop and under-betting the flop?

Raise preflop to 9BB. Then when the pot is 19.5BB, you can c-bet 12BB, but frankly, you should not be c-betting this particular flop, unless your opponent folds to c-bets often.

Well at first I thought he had a strong hand, after the flop I didn't understand an all in unless he was drawing a straight, had pocket 10s or was just bluffing. I thought it was worth calling, but I might've been mistaken.

People are just going to get it in against you with most pairs on the flop because of your short stack so to say he only has a straight draw here is being results oriented. Can't say I'm experienced at short stacking(only playing against them) but your bet sizing needs to be larger in all spots.

yeah i would just jam in the spot preflop. If you are planning on getting it in on the flop no matter what then you are almost freerolling the other guy going to the flop. your stack size being so small and the limits be so small you will see ppl call you off preflop with the weirdest hands. i wish you luck in the future.
