NO INFORMATION ON VILLAIN and they just sat down

  1. VILLAIN raises 3x and HERO accidentally min raises from 0.06 to 0.10. Villain flats after.
  2. On the flop, was continuing for pot size okay? Maybe smaller because paired board? What would you do?
  3. With Villain shoving on the flop, insta-fold?

I would bet half pot on flop. No real draws to worry about and a paired board. I would insta-fold to the shove with no information on villain.

Why are we insta folding? seems abit nitty...

Maybe I'v been watching too much high stakes games but it just seems if they truly had a jack in that spot wouldn't they put a large part of your range on Ax?

Why not slow play?

I like the fold, that is quite hard one to make and shows you have grown a lot fast. I don't like 3bet size, it's easy call even with J2s and CB size is bluffy like meaning you might need to call the jam :D But in general 2NL big bet is for value (like u had ;)), the only problem is that he might do it with worse Ax, regardless that deep folding can't be wrong.

If he has Ax he will call 2 barrel or 3 barrel, but you don't need to build the pot to uncomfortable levels for you or for him, so imo you should aim to get value from medium sized pairs first, so CB size should be small or check and then on the turn aim for value from Ax hands. Personally I prefer small bet bc players at 6max do too much Cbetting and people auto call wide.

I realize it's 2nl and people do weird stuff, but this is the sort of spot where I kind of assume people are a little more likely to do this with a gigantic hand trying to "look bluffy" (and get called a lot cause it's 2nl). The deeper the stack sizes relative to the pot, the more I expect this to be a Jx hand.
