Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BTN with K :spade: Q :club:
UTG raises to $0.06, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.06, SB calls $0.05, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.20) K  8 :diamond: 8 :spade: (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $0.12, Hero calls $0.12, SB folds

Turn: ($0.44) 2  (2 players)
UTG bets $0.26, Hero ?

I only had 11 hands on him at the time. I dont see many 8 in his UTG range, but his second donk bet.....

If it is a kicker problem, I think he will be checking after my call OTF.

Is this a fold pre vs him? But, as I said only 11 hands when this happened.....

Small sample size, but he seems aggro, so I would call down.

Either that, fold now, or fold to a third barrel. Depends on whether you think he could be doing this with QQ/JJ/TT/99/air or only with AK/KK/88.

Edit: he seems looser than I am, so KQ and KJ are both in his range as well, and he might be aggro enough to barrel three streets. Call down.

Edit 2: after 11 hands you may not have known this. Makes a good case for folding on the turn.
I probably call down anyway, if only for information.

I'm in the call down camp as well. His full stack and sane bet sizing worry me though.

Also, it's not a donk bet.

I think I am just folding this pre, seems pretty nitty but KQ is just not a very strong hand and we are often dominated vs UTG. I'd rather have 98s, 22, etc. to flat with here. Its so close though that I would probably call with KQs because we are going to have to bluff post pretty often to make KQ profitable here so its nice to flop that extra equity to semi bluff/float with.

AP call turn and most rivers

But, hey, I still dabble at 2nl...so...
Yeah, what's up with that? Joined in 2010, 6K+ posts.
I'd figure you'd be at 25NL+ by now.

Or was there a break / bankroll depletion involved at one point?

No offense, just curious.

No offence taken.

I played a lot, a few years ago, at .10 nl with some shots at .25. Did ok.... when I was sober.....

I took a break last year for about 6 months, after realizing I was drinking and playing and lost most of my roll. Since I could not control my drinking and playing, I stopped for about a half year, and since then have taken my $40 left and through free rolls, and 2nl, am up to about $300. I know I should move up, but since half of that is freeroll money, I am waiting till my 2nl earning get to the point where I can move up.

BTW, the drinking is no longer a problem. It - the drinking - never really was, just when I drank I wanted to play, or, as I like to say...

A drink makes a new man of me. The problem is, that man wants a drink and a place at the poker table.

BTW, I have been at a table with you on it a few weeks ago, and left pretty quick..lol

I play 12-18 tables and this is probably too much, but my AIEV is good, my green line ok at best... but an upward trend. I am sure if I would stick to 6-8 i would do much better but I always look at the fish and reg at all their tables, and--- BAM, I have another 12 + going in no time...lol . I have been taking some real shitty beats lately, but I will post some stats at some point.

call flop call turn, probably call river depends of what it is if its a brick than an easy call, he does seems agro and he also would probably at least 2 barrel any K maybe 3barrel and would less likely have 8 on his UTG range. Call down IMHO

With villain's stats, I'm fine with calling pre. But most of the time you're right.

Fold pre. KQo is dominated vs UTG open, and I just don't think the call is +EV. Yeah, he has a 23% PFR. But his UTG opening range is probably something like 13-14%, and super wide in the CO/BTN instead unless he's not positionally aware and raises whatever hands looks pretty/good to him. He also seems to have a high AF, and unless you're really good with floating/double floating/bluff-raising/bluff-catching, I don't think a call is going to be profitable since you whiff the flop a lot. Even then, it's pretty marginal because they'll probably play back at you or double/triple barrel you a decent amount.
