Did I play this badly? I didn't think the villain had a set when he flat-called my 3bet preflop. I thought he might just have AK, AQ or a busted flush draw (2 clubs), but I was wrong.

Didnt play it badly although there are a few points to consider for future spots like this such as bet sizings and raising flop.

Ranges on the flop, AA and KK can pretty much be removed from his range here. When villain 1 donks he has 22 occasionally (micros so set mining in 3b pot not uncommon even 100bb ess) but mostly weak Ax some Kx and FD. Villain 2's range is pretty much the same although 22 and FD slightly more common than in Villain 1's range as both deep.

Is there a reason you chose not to raise here on the flop to get it in against these combos that get stubborn (it is 2NL)?

Turn play I like close to pot (roughly villain 1's stack), maybe he releases his Kx hands here but will make bad calls with FD and Ax often. Villain 2 the same. There is also 2 FD now to get value from as AXd ain't folding either.

River, I actually don't mind the check here as it allows villain to bluff with his missed FD's and over value his Ax type hands. You are always calling however on his card. Although AXd get there that is pretty much all that beats you in villains range. As played you can no long raise this river but with bigger turn bet river bet is an all in anyway.

HTH

How many club draws can villain have here, besides KcQc? That's why i like betting the river. Let villain make the mistake of calling to wide. Turn could be around .95, but i don't hate the sizing as played.

Completely agree.... at 10NL and maybe even 5NL. At 2NL I think you are giving villains far too much credit and are missing value on the turn and consequently river.

Admittedly I wasn't at this stake for very long so I may not be correct but I did crush it over roughly 20K hands for 16BB/100 before moving up.

I think you played it badly you should have lost all your stack in this hand. This is 2NL you just bet bet and bet the living hell out of your monsters. You should be 2 betting the flop every single time and get it all in as soon as the pot gets big enough.

Yeah, not going broke in this hand is a sign of a leak.
